Work List
The Work List module provides an alternative way of viewing and working with data. The module is intended for use with relatively small groups of subjects who each require the same action. It allows workflow to be monitored or data in a particular event view to be updated for a certain set of subjects.
The module uses summary views to define which events and data items are viewed, and queries to define which instances of the event are to be viewed. The records are shown in a grid which can be edited, and a data entry screen can show the whole event for a selected record. Documents attached to the summarised event can be viewed and generated.
Module Features
- Data view selection
- Users can select from the list of data views available.
- Summary view selection
- Users can select from the list of summary views defined. Each summary view displays a selection of data items from a particular event view for a group of subjects or events. The data items can be edited if required.
- Query selection
- Queries are used to control which subjects or which occurrences of the summarised event view are displayed. The query also controls which data items from the summarised event view are displayed. Unlimited queries can be defined to allow drilling in and out to view subjects from different perspectives. Prompt queries can be defined which prompt the user for parameters when the query is selected.
- Summary grid
- The grid displays data items from the patient data view as defined in the query. Data items in the grid that come from the summarised event view can be edited if permission has been granted.
- Conditional formatting
- Formatting can be defined to change the format of a row or cell if it fulfils a certain condition. The background, foreground and font style can be changed, and an icon can be displayed.
- Data entry screen
- The data entry screen displays the entire summarised event as it would appear in Data Entry. It can be edited if permission has been granted. The module can be configured not to display the data entry screen.
- Documents
- Documents attached to the summarised event can be viewed and generated.
- Data entry dialog
- The whole subject overview for a patient can be accessed from the summary grid, allowing any event to be edited and new events to be created for a single patient without needing to switch modules.
- Polling
- The polling mechanism is used to synchronise all Work List users and automatically refresh the grid as modifications occur.
