Patient Alerting
The InfoFlex Automatic Patient Alert Add-In provides a fully configurable generic alert mechanism that will automatically send alerts to recipients who need them. SMS, Email, Bleep or printed alerts can be sent to multiple interested groups and recipients.
The add-in automatically assesses whether the patient is of interest using a fully configurable set of rules. If the patient is of interest, the add-in sends the appropriate message to each recipient.
All alerts are recorded against the patient's clinical history in InfoFlex for auditing and tracking purposes.
Module Features
- Alerts
- SMS, Email, Bleep and printed alerts can be sent. The format and delivery mechanism can be tailored to suit the needs of each recipient.
- Alert Groups
- An Alert Group dictionary is used to locally maintain the list of recipients, alert methods and groups of interest.
- Groups of Interest
- Patients are automatically assigned to one or more Groups of Interest (eg Lung Cancer, Diabetes, CHF etc) by InfoFlex using configurable rules.
- Transactions
- A transaction is processed by the InfoFlex DataServer Interface Engine and triggers the Alert mechanism. The Alert can be triggered by any transaction including those from A&E.
