InfoFlex Modules
Pathway Viewer
The Pathway Viewer provides the ability to view events recorded within InfoFlex as an integrated pathway. It displays a graphical view of the status of a patient’s (or group of patients’) position on a pre-defined pathway such as the 18 Week Pathway. Pathways contain a number of definable milestones which can be colour coded to indicate whether target dates are being met. Alerts can be used to warn users interactively of the status of a patient’s pathway.
The Pathway Viewer allows users to track, monitor and report on patient activity, as well as to identify problem areas and forecast future activity. Reports can be produced as required to monitor patient progress. The reports are fully configurable and, for example, can show the position of patients on the pathway, identify patients that are about to breach and identify patients waiting for diagnostic tests.
Module Features
- Pathways
- A pathway is a series of milestones with target values. Targets can be specified in days, hours or minutes. An optional condition expression can define criteria that must be met in order for a pathway to be displayed eg urgent referrals only. Multiple pathways can be defined.
- Milestones
- Milestones can be date or value items or formula expressions. Target, invalid and warning values can be set for each milestone. Milestones can be linked to categories (eg resources required) and the user can then filter the pathway by category.
- Displaying pathways
- The Pathway Viewer can be displayed in the Data Entry module for the current subject and in the Work List module for the subjects in the current query. Users can select which pathways and which of the listed subjects to view. Multiple pathways can be displayed at once. Users can choose to view the full pathway, filter it by category or to view single blocks.
- Display properties
- Each block of a pathway is shown in a colour which represents whether the target is met, is in the warning period or is invalid. Colours are definable as are the timeline, the scale (interval or cumulative), the value type (elapsed time, variance or variance %). Users can also choose to view a summary pathway, overall status traffic lights, and warning limits.
- Printing
- The pathways displayed in the viewer can be printed.
