InfoFlex Modules
Code List Manager
The Code List Manager allows a common library of code lists to be defined. These code lists are available to be used in any domain or dictionary in the InfoFlex database. The Code List Manager allows you to set up a code list once and use that same code list in any number of coded items. Any change you make to a code list once it has been set up will be reflected in every item that uses it.
This module allows the standardisation of coding systems used across the different clinical specialties to take place and provides a centralised control of coding standards.
Module Features
- Sharing of Coding Structures
- All code lists defined in InfoFlex are available for use to any Coded Item definition irrespective of Domain.
- Archiving of Codes
- Individual codes, when no longer required, can be archived from data entry. Archived codes are still available for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Ordering of Code Lists
- Codes lists can be re-ordered as and when required to meet Data Entry requirements.
- Defining/Modifying Code Lists
- New code lists can be added and existing code lists modified by authorised users
- Undefined Codes
- In certain circumstances the data entry environment requires codes not present in the code list to be allowed. When an item has been flagged to allow undefined codes users can add to the code list during data entry.
